Super Simple Spaghetti Sauce

I think everyone needs more than just one
spaghetti meat sauce recipe.
This is a quick and tasty sauce that requires
no chopping and and is still homemade.
It's better than a "jar" and just as easy.

Anybody in your house can make this one.
Let the ground beef sear on both
sides in the pan before breaking up.
This step really improves the flavor.
I gather and measure out all the seasonings
in a custard cup and open the cans while
the beef is browning.
Stir all the seasonings into the
browned crumbled beef. This step
really improves the flavor.
Mix in the tomatoes and sauce.
The key is to let it simmer on low for hours
or put it in the crock pot for 4 hours on low.
I always like a recipe I can make ahead of
time so that I'm not rushed when hungry.

Super Simple Spaghetti Sauce
1 lb ground beef
1 T onion flakes
1 T chili powder
2 t sugar
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t oregano
1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 (14oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (16oz) can tomato sauce
Place the ground beef in a lightly
oiled skillet and let it sear on both sided
to brown. Then break it up with a spatula
until browned. While it browns, combine all
the seasonings in a cup. Drain off any
accumulated fat. Add all the seasonings and
mix well into the meat.
Choose your cooking method.
*Crock Pot: add the meat to the crock pot
and then the cans of tomatoes and sauce.
Mix well. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
*Stove Top: Add the cans of tomatoes and
sauce the to meat in skillet, mix well. Cover
and cook on low to a very slow simmer
 for about 2-3 hours.

Enjoy!
